Fishlure Charters is operated by Captain David Huebner. Bringing you over 20 years of fishing experience on Lake Ontario from Wilson Harbor to Henderson Harbor. I have experienced all fishing aspects of this lake and proud to share it with our clients. 

The fishing out of Oak Orchard is some of the most consistent trout and salmon fishing found anywhere on Lake Ontario, and quite possibly the Great Lakes. The Oak, as it’s often referred to, usually grabs the tail end of the nutrient rich Niagara River flow. This flow is a magnet to fish! Structure, consistent green water, steady currents, and the ability to get to deep water fast creates the perfect habitat for baitfish and the predators that follow. These variables will consistently provide full coolers of trophy sized trout and salmon. 

Spring, summer, or fall the hardest decision an angler has is what fish to target on each trip! In the spring we typically target Brown Trout, Coho Salmon and King Salmon. During Summer we transition to Steelhead Trout, Rainbow Trout, King Salmon and more Brown Trout. As the season winds down the Salmon return to the Oak Orchard River, but the Rainbows and Steelhead aren’t too far of a run when the Salmon aren’t cooperating. As you can see fishing off the Oak provides you with year round excitement inshore and offshore with plenty of options
